Pattern party

I've been a bit craft lazy lately, I have to admit... Mostly because I'm not home (I'm visiting my parents in Belgium) and I haven't really got my tools by hand. The freezing weather isn't really helping either. It's incredibly cold and -12 degrees Celsius makes me quite lazy. You'd think it would be fun to do some cozy crafting by the fireplace but quite frankly just getting in the car to get some supplies is just too hard of a job in this freezing weather...

I did leave the house though! Last Sunday I visited a secondhand book market. In case you don't know yet, I love secondhand. And books.
At first sight I didn't really find anything interesting. But then suddenly, at the bottom of a pile of craft books I found this:

This Dutch knitting book is from the 1920's and includes knitting, crocheting as well lace pattern. I have to say I actually can't do any of the above crafts but that didn't stop me from buying the book. I would definitely like to take up crocheting and would like to try out some of the patterns of the book.
The book is actually well explained, has clear pictures and I love the way the text is written.

  1. This looks like a great find - bottom of the pile books are always the best. The picture of the lace usage on the garments would be enough to motivate me to give it a go...
